Congolese Matanga Community Objectives

CMC

  1. OBJECTIVES

  1. Even though the Congolese Matanga Community (CMC) is a non-profit organization created in 2020 to help financially members of the Congolese Community in case of bereavement, it changed its statutes in May 2025 as follows.
  2. The sole source of income of CMC is its members’ contributions, and possible contributions from Donors.
  3. To its registered members, CMC works similarly to a FUNERAL PLAN: to help with the burial costs of its members.
  4. CMC  start being functional once it gets at least three hundred (300) registered members.
  5. It is COMPULSORY for CMC members to contribute to the CMC bank account so that CMC may muster 10,000 pounds to donate to the next of kin of its registered deceased member.
  6. The individual contribution must be 10,000 pounds divided by the number of registered members.
  7. CMC pledges to donate to the deceased member’s family 10,000 pounds within 3 weeks of the death.
  8. If some members do not contribute within 3 weeks, CMC should donate the amount collected so far and complete the rest as soon as possible.
  9. To be eligible for the 10,000 donations from CMC, the deceased member must have contributed to all the preceding donations.
  10. In case of the death of any Congolese in London

(non-registered with CMC), CMC members may give a VOLUNTARY contribution to the CMC bank account to help the bereaved family financially, as we have been doing since 2020.
